RaeAnn Daly

				RaeAnn Daly

She works in the Ohio Valley but talks to Chaffin Luhana clients from across the country. When prospective clients call the firm, RaeAnn greets them and prides herself in listening, identify and helping to resolve their legal problems. Her goal is to make each clients feel comfortable with the legal process, and identify whether the firm can assist them.

Outside of the office, RaeAnn enjoys time with her son and her two dogs. She also volunteers her time baking “dream cakes” for the birthdays of chronically ill children through a charity, Icing Smiles.

RaeAnn’s 2015 Chaffin Luhana Foundation Charity donation was to Icing Smiles. RaeAnn has been baking cakes over the past year for this organization. She said that when the family comes and picks up the cake they always cry, hug you, and the child goes crazy for the cake. She said most of these families could never afford a cake like this for their child’s birthday because of their extensive medical bills.

For 2017, RaeAnn nominated Ashlie’s Embrace, which provides “CuddleCots” to U.S. hospitals. These CuddleCots are small baby basinets and help parents who suffer the loss of a baby. The CuddleCot system cools the baby allowing parents to spend critical time with their child. This issue is dear to RaeAnn’s heart and she is proud to show her support for a wonderful organization.

how not to be a lawyer

according to eric t. chaffin

“My father was a union witness at an arbitration in a steel mill outside of Pittsburgh. After the hearing, my father, dressed in blue jeans and a sweatshirt, stuck out his hand to shake hands with the company’s lawyer. The lawyer refused. The lawyer was not upset because my dad got the best of him but because he frowned upon working class people. I was the first person in my family to graduate from college. My dad used this story to remind me to respect others, to remember where I came from and as an example of how not to conduct myself as a lawyer.”
