Casey graduated from Ohio University with a double major Bachelors in Sociology/Criminology and Psychology. She spent her undergraduate years working with two laboratories on campus, as an Anatomy Lab Assistant and a Head Research Assistant. She co-authored a study about Co-Rumination among couples and pairs of friends.
Casey also served with AmeriCorps for a year at a recovery house for women recovering from addiction.
In her free time, Casey loves to hike with her two dogs Max and Morty, cook, roller skate or see live music. She is passionate about Appalachia, service to others, social justice and workers’ rights.
