Courtney E. Griffin joined the firm in 2020, after moving to Pittsburgh from California. Before joining the firm, Courtney practiced at a firm in California’s Central Valley, where she represented clients at various stages of civil and criminal litigation, including verdict at jury trial. Courtney’s litigation experience includes employment, personal injury, and consumer protection matters.
Courtney worked for the Honorable Peter C. Lewis and the Honorable Michael M. Anello, in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California. Additionally, she worked for the non-profit law firm in San Diego that handles the appeals of indigent parties in California’s appellate system.
2020: Courtney’s Chaffin Luhana Foundation charity donation was to The Wingman Foundation – a group that provides immediate support to families and squadrons of Navy and Marine Corps Aviators in aviation mishaps. This charity selection was particularly personal to her; in 2019 a close family friend and squadronmate of her husband was involved in a fatal aviation mishap, with The Wingman Foundation providing immediate care and support to his family.
