Case SpecialistRene Grier is a Case Specialist in the firm’s Pittsburgh and West Virginia offices.
Rene was born and raised in Pittsburgh and went to Taylor Allderdice High School. In 2007, she moved to Weirton, WV. She previously worked as a Public Benefits Advocate at a well-known medical center in the region and she has also worked on a national study, interviewing Medicare beneficiaries in their homes in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio.
Outside of the office, Rene keeps herself busy with three children and a granddaughter. For fun, she enjoys walking, Zumba, going to the movies and watching her children play sports.
For 2018, Rene nominated the Alzheimer’s Association, the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Rene’s contribution will aide the organization and its mission to end Alzheimer’s through the advancement of research, provide care for all affected and reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
For 2019, Rene nominated The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. Rene’s contribution will help NAMI further support those living with mental illness and their family members.
In 2020, Rene’s Chaffin Luhana Foundation Charity donations were to the Gary Sinise Foundation, a group supporting Veterans and First Responders with numerous programs – from disability-friendly homes to Snowball Express – supporting the surviving children of our military.
