Authorities called to multi-car wreck on PA-28 NB in Pittsburgh’s North Side

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA — A multi-car crash was reported Wednesday afternoon on Pennsylvania Highway 28 in Pittsburgh’s East Allegheny area, according to 511PA Pittsburgh.

The collision occurred on the northbound lanes at East Ohio Street. It was first reported by 511PA at 11:06 a.m.

Few details have been released at this time, but at least one lane was closed in the immediate aftermath.


By 11:48 a.m., more than 40 minutes later, crews had cleared the scene from the roadway and all lanes were reopened to traffic.


At this time, the cause of the wreck remains unknown. No injuries have been confirmed.
