About Chaffin Luhana

We are a personal injury law firm but not the typical firm you may have seen on television.  We believe in value-based advocacy.  Our motto is Doing Good by Doing Right.  Everyday.  In Everything We Do.  We have established ourselves as a go-to national and regional law firm.  We have grown tremendously and continue to grow.

Mass Tort Paralegals

Location: New York, NY and Pittsburgh, PA

Responsibilities:

  • Ordering, reviewing and summarizing medical records for preparing factual response to discovery
  • Regularly interviewing clients by phone and timely updating them on their legal cases
  • Reviewing and evaluating cases to prepare for attorney review and filing
  • Assisting our Intake Specialists with managing the intake system
  • Managing workflow of cases in our electronic case management system
  • Drafting and sending correspondence
  • Drafting pleadings including complaints, discovery responses and other pleadings
  • Offering general assistance to attorneys and senior paralegals
  • Properly and constantly documenting all events and communications

Medical Records Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Candidates will be part of a fast-paced “team” environment working with firm attorneys and staff to order and retrieve medical records for ongoing legal cases.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the client relationship via setting and managing expectations, as well as addressing any client concerns with grace – we aren’t happy unless the client is delighted.
  • Serving as a liaison between our clients and our content strategist and marketing team.
  • Accountable over coordinating and executing of all ongoing client campaigns and deliverables, such as our Client Newsletter, Quarterly Client Updates, etc. as well as optimizing and problem-solving when necessary to make these campaigns successful.
  • Understand the client as well as you understand yourself. What do they need, and how should they be spoken to? Inherent customer care is always top of mind.
  • Manage Net Promoter Score (NPS) and client satisfaction metrics and surveying.

Mass Tort Associate

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with clients and team to develop factual and medical evidence for tort claims
  • Prepare cases for pre-litigation, litigation and settlement
  • Review medical records to confirm diagnosis, treatment, and causes of injuries
  • Work with case-specific experts to develop case theories and reports
  • Manage workflow of cases including initial case assessment, filing of complaints (including managing and meeting SOL deadlines), handling discovery, motion practice and all litigation tasks
