Chaffin Luhana and Najee Harris to Give Away 600 Turkeys in Greater Pittsburgh Area
Local Law Firm, Chaffin Luhana LLP, and Steelers Running Back, Najee Harris, to Offer Free Turkeys for Pittsburgh and West Virginia Families in Need This Thanksgiving
PITTSBURGH, PA NOVEMBER 9, 2022 – Chaffin Luhana LLP, The Chaffin Luhana Foundation, and Pittsburgh Steelers Running Back, Najee Harris, along with his foundation, Da’ Bigger Picture, are pleased to announce their campaign to fight food insecurity this holiday season with Chaffin Luhana’s annual Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway.
The giveaway will take place in Pittsburgh, PA, and Hancock County, WV – two locations in which the firm has offices – on Tuesday, November 15th, and Wednesday, November 16th from 2:00-4:00 PM each day. According to the Feeding America organization, more than 34 million people, including 9 million children, in the United States are food insecure. The pandemic made things worse, particularly among families and communities of color, and today’s economy has left many American families struggling to put food on the table.
In Pittsburgh alone, over 343,000 people are food insecure, according to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, with 96,030 of those being children. Hancock County, West Virginia, has a higher-than-average food insecurity rate of 12.6 percent, with a child food insecurity rate of 19.4 percent.
“Though the COVID-19 pandemic has receded,” said Eric Chaffin, Founding Partner, “the struggle hasn’t ended for many families in our area. We feel privileged to make this small contribution during what should be a happy time during the holiday season. Anyone who needs a helping hand is more than welcome to reserve a turkey on our website.”
Anyone in need of a holiday turkey is encouraged to register for the event online. Chaffin Luhana and Najee Harris also invite everyone to register online as quantities are limited. Registrants should plan to arrive early at their designated pickup location to ensure they receive their turkey.

Chaffin Luhana and the Chaffin Luhana Foundation have long believed in giving back to the community through charitable contributions and scholarship donations. This year they have organized their annual Turkey Giveaway with Najee Harris, to give out hundreds of turkeys to those in need. This is the second year partnering with Najee Harris and his foundation for the event.
“I was once in the position of being homeless,” Harris said, “so I have an idea what it’s like to be facing the holidays in a difficult situation. I want to bring awareness to that struggle and give back to those families who are in need. Sometimes a little help can let people know, particularly children, that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Partnering with the Chaffin Luhana and their Foundation has helped me broaden my reach while sharing my values and mission with people with the same goals.”
Harris’ Da’ Bigger Picture Foundation focuses on assisting underserved families in reaching their highest potential while providing tools and assistance to families facing challenging times.
