Passenger hospitalized after rollover crash in Connoquenessing

BUTLER COUNTY, PA — A 44-year-old Evans City man was seriously hurt last Wednesday due to a rollover crash in Connoquenessing borough, according to Beaver County Radio.

Pennsylvania State Police responded to the scene on Harmony Street on October 5 at about 6:05 p.m.

A preliminary investigation indicates a 52-year-old man, also of Evans City, was driving a 2001 Chevy S-10 pickup truck eastbound. At one point, he lost control of the pickup, causing it to hit a telephone phone and overturn. First responders arrived to find the vehicle flipped on its roof, in a graveled area south of Harmony Street.

Officials said the Chevy’s passenger was rushed to Allegheny General Hospital with potentially serious injuries.

The driver, who is believed to have sustained minor injuries, declined transport to a hospital. He has since been charged for “not driving a vehicle properly on the right side of the road.”

No further details have been shared at this time.
