About this position:

The Accounting Clerk performs daily accounting tasks including accounts payable, and accounts receivable. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for the firm. The Accounting Clerk assists with monthly financial reporting as well.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Including but not limited to:
  • Pulling expenses
  • Updating QuickBooks accounts
  • Managing expense reporting
  • Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
  • Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries
  • Maintains historical financial records
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements
  • Assist Finance Director with month-end closing
  • Address inquiries and concerns from vendors and internal stakeholders regarding disbursements promptly and professionally

  • Have earned a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Adhere to all government and industry regulations and the protection of sensitive data
  • Exhibit exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Have a problem-solving mindset, with the ability to identify process improvements
  • Maintain confidentiality of all Confidential Information of clients and of the company
  • Have a commitment to accuracy with a keen eye for detail
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and time management skills
  • The ability to handle frequent pressures, time deadlines, and multi-task

  • Have an Accounting Certificate, Associate in Accounting, or equivalent work experience and/or training (preferred)
  • Have experience with Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook) (required)
  • Have previous work experience with QuickBooks (preferred)
  • Have previous accounting experience (preferred)
  • Handle technology with grace
