News: 1 injured in rollover crash off I-279 near Ross Township

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA — One person was hospitalized Wednesday evening after a vehicle overturned in a crash on Interstate 279 near Ross Township, reports WPXI.

The accident occurred on the northbound lanes near the exit toward Bellevue Road and Jacks Run Road. It was first reported by WPXI at 7:52 p.m.

Officials have not provided details regarding the events leading up to the crash, but one person was transported to a local hospital with unspecified injuries.

A photo taken at the scene shows a light-colored passenger car flipped onto its roof in a grassy area beyond the right shoulder, and at least three occupants are seen standing near the vehicle.
