News: 1 killed, 3 injured in Blair County head-on collision

BLAIR COUNTY, PA – A woman died and three others were injured after a crash in Blair County on Friday afternoon.

According to WTAJ, Monica Wignot, 29, of Pittsburgh was heading home from work on Skelp Mountain Road when she crossed the center lane and struck a Buick head-on.

Her vehicle spun counterclockwise before coming to a rest in the roadway.

Wignot was rushed to an area hospital but succumbed to her injuries and later died. Her dog was in the vehicle with her and was killed.

The driver and passenger of the other vehicle were all transported to the hospital with injuries. The conditions of those involved are not known at this time.
