News: 1 rescued after rollover crash on Leechburg Rd in Penn Hills

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA — A rollover accident was reported late Sunday in the North Bessemer area of Penn Hills, according to WPXI.

The accident occurred in the 1700 block of Leechburg Road shortly before 11:00 p.m. Penn Hills police and fire crews responded to the scene.

Few details have been released, but authorities said a moving car crashed into a parked vehicle. First responders arrived to find the striking car overturned on its side.

Firefighters worked to stabilize the rolled vehicle as the front windshield was removed to extricate the driver. The victim was evaluated by medics at the scene, but it was unclear whether the patient had to be taken to a hospital.

An investigation into the cause of the crash was underway.
