News: Authorities called to multi-vehicle crash on I-79 in Greene County

GREENE COUNTY, PA — A multi-vehicle wreck Tuesday afternoon closed at least one lane on Interstate 79 near Mount Morris, according to 511PA Pittsburgh.

The accident occurred on the northbound lanes of I-79 at milepost 2, north of Davistown Road. It was first recorded by 511PA at 3:47 p.m.

Few details have been released, but the lane restriction remained in place for more than two hours, suggesting a major crash.

By 5:57 p.m., authorities announced the scene had been cleared from the roadway and all lanes were restored to traffic.


It was unclear whether anyone was seriously hurt.
