News: Authorities called to multi-vehicle wreck on I-376 at US-19 in SW Pittsburgh

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA — A multi-vehicle crash was reported Thursday morning on Interstate 376 in southwest Pittsburgh, according to 511PA Pittsburgh.

The accident was reported on the westbound lanes at Exit 69A to U.S. Highway 19 South, or Banksville Road, near the city’s Ridgemont neighborhood. Dispatchers first received the call shortly before 8:15 a.m.

Authorities have not disclosed a possible cause of the wreck, but a lane restriction was in place for nearly 20 minutes.


By 7:35 a.m., crews had moved the scene to the shoulder, which remained closed until shortly before 9:00 a.m., when the accident cleared.


At this time, no injuries have been confirmed.
