News: Authorities called to multi-vehicle wreck on I-376 in SW Pittsburgh

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA — A multi-vehicle collision was reported Wednesday morning on Interstate 376 in southwest Pittsburgh, according to 511PA Pittsburgh.

The accident took place on the westbound lanes at milepost 66.5, about half a mile past Poplar Street and north of Green Tree. It was first recorded by 511PA at 7:09 a.m.

Authorities did not immediately say what caused the crash, but at least one lane was closed for nearly an hour as crews worked to clear the scene.


By 8:08 a.m., the roadway was reported cleared with all lanes reopened to normal traffic.


It remains unclear whether or not anyone was injured or had to be taken to a hospital.
