News: Authorities respond to multi-vehicle wreck on PA-28 near Sharpsburg

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA — A multi-vehicle crash Wednesday morning closed at least one lane on State Route 28 near Sharpsburg, according to 511PA Pittsburgh.

The accident happened on the southbound lanes of PA-28 at Exit 5 to the northbound lanes of PA-8. It was first recorded by 511PA at 7:50 a.m.

Little information has been provided at this time, but a lane restriction was put in place for nearly 20 minutes.

By 8:18 a.m., crews had cleared the scene from the roadway and all lanes were reopened to traffic.

Local agencies have not indicated any major injuries in the event.
