News: Crews respond to multi-vehicle crash on I-376 in Squirrel Hill Tunnel

PITTSBURGH, PA — A multi-vehicle accident Monday morning inside the Squirrel Hill Tunnel caused major delays on Interstate 376 near east Pittsburgh, reports WTAE.

The crash caused a span of outbound I-376 to close from Exit 74 to Exit 77. All inbound lanes were also blocked off for nearly an hour, as commuters were diverted away from the entrance of the tunnel.

At about 12:11 p.m., WTAE reported that all inbound and outbound lanes had reopened to traffic.

As of this writing, it remains unclear what caused the wreck or exactly how many vehicles were involved. No injuries have been reported.
