News: Cyclist hospitalized after crash in Pittsburgh’s Brookline area

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA — One person was critically injured early Wednesday due to a bicycle accident in southwest Pittsburgh, according to WPXI.

The incident occurred in the 3000 block of Pioneer Avenue, in the Brookline neighborhood, at about 2:00 a.m.

Few details have been shared, but authorities said the cyclist crashed in the roadway and suffered critical injuries. They were rushed to a local hospital by EMS personnel.

An investigation remains ongoing, but at this time, authorities said they have not found evidence that a vehicle was involved.
