News: Driver dies after crash on PA-981 in Derry Township

WESTMORELAND COUNTY, PA — A 26-year-old Jeannette resident died Tuesday night after a single-vehicle crash on Route 981 in Derry Township, according to WPXI.

The wreck occurred on the eastbound lanes of PA-981 in the New Alexandria borough. It was first reported shortly after 9:00 p.m.

It was unclear what caused the crash, but a deputy coroner found the scene while driving to another incident.

The Westmoreland County Office of the Coroner said the victim died from craniocerebral injuries at around 10:10 p.m.

No other vehicles were involved.
