News: Multi-car crash closes section of PA-28 NB in NE Pittsburgh

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA — A multi-vehicle wreck Thursday evening blocked part of northbound Pennsylvania Highway 28 in northeast Pittsburgh, according to 511PA Pittsburgh.

The crash happened on the northbound lanes between Gamma Drive/Beta Drive (Exit 10)  and Pennsylvania Turnpike/Interstate 76 (Exit 11). It was first reported by 511 at 5:28 p.m.

Officials have not shared the cause of the crash, but there was a lane restriction in the area.


By 5:58 p.m., 30 minutes later, the scene had been cleared from the roadway and all lanes were reopened to traffic.

It was unclear how many vehicles were impacted. No injuries have been confirmed at this time.
