News: Multi-vehicle crash closes lane on US-19 in SW Pittsburgh

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA — A multi-vehicle wreck was reported early Sunday evening on U.S. Highway 19 near Pittsburgh’s Ridgemont area, according to 511PA Pittsburgh.

The accident impacted the southbound lanes at Wabash Street. It was first reported by 511PA at 5:23 p.m.

Authorities have not provided additional details regarding the cause of the crash or the number of vehicles involved, but at least one southbound lane was blocked in the immediate aftermath.


The closure remained in place for over an hour as crews worked the scene. Shortly after 5:30 p.m., the wreck had been cleared and all lanes were reopened to traffic.


It was unclear whether anyone was injured in the event.
