News: Multi-vehicle wreck closes PA-28 NB offramp in NE Pittsburgh

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA — A crash involving multiple vehicles Sunday night blocked a Pennsylvania Route 28 exit ramp in northeast Pittsburgh, according to 511PA Pittsburgh.

The accident occurred on the ramp connecting PA-28 northbound in the Troy District to the 31st Street Bridge heading into the city’s Strip District. It was first reported by 511PA at 9:30 p.m.

Authorities have not disclosed the cause of the collision or details on the involved vehicles, but the closure remained in place for about 50 minutes.


At 10:20 p.m., crews had cleared the scene from the ramp, which was announced reopened to traffic.


It remains unclear at this time whether anyone was seriously injured.
