News: Truck hits overpass, loses roof on Eckert St in NW Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH, PA — A semi-truck lost its roof Wednesday afternoon while traveling under a bridge in the Woods Run area of northwest Pittsburgh, reports WPXI.

Crews responded to the scene near the intersection of New Beaver Avenue and Eckert Street. It was first reported by WXPI shortly before 2:21 p.m.

Few details have been released at this time, but the top of the truck was scraped off as the vehicle struck the overpass and continued driving.

Photos taken at the scene show the vehicle in an upright position underneath the bridge, which has a marked clearance height of 12 feet, 8 inches.

At this time, authorities have not said whether anyone was injured.
